Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, in terms of service. We offer the same high-touch, concierge experience—like 60-minute appointments and direct access to Dr. Patel—but we use a 'Direct Care' model to keep it more accessible and transparent.

  • Unlike traditional clinics with 6 month waits, most of our patients are seen within 14 days.

  • Yes! Dr. Patel sees anyone age 13 and up. He has extensive experience with the pediatric population.

  • At Clear Path Headache and Concussion we do not require insurance and we do not bill any insurance providers. Operating without the restrictions of insurance companies allows Dr. Patel to give you the most personalized, direct patient care. Some services/medications may even be cheaper without insurance!

Please keep in mind that you can still use your insurance for labs, imaging, and medications.

  • Unlike traditional clinics, our Direct Specialty Care model removes insurance middlemen, allowing for 60-minute appointments and direct communication with your neurologist without the typical 3-6 month wait times.

  • If post-concussion headaches persist beyond 7–10 days or worsen with physical activity, a comprehensive neurological evaluation is recommended to prevent chronic symptoms and coordinate a personalized treatment plan.

  • We make the process simple. After your visit, we provide you with a 'Superbill'—a detailed receipt with all necessary medical codes. Most PPO insurance plans allow you to submit this for 50-80% reimbursement of the allowable amount.

  • Unfortunately, at the moment, we are not accepting Medicare patients. This will change in the near future, so please reach out to the office to be put on a waitlist.

  • These can be billed through your insurance, but there are often cheaper options outside of insurance as well!

  • Yes, we work with insurance and drug manufacturer savings programs to ensure specialty medications like Botox, or other migraine medications (Qulipta, Emgality, Ajovy, etc.) remain affordable.

  • Our neurology membership is designed for chronic conditions like migraines that require frequent adjustments. It offers predictable monthly costs and includes multiple follow-ups, which is typically more cost-effective than multiple 'A La Carte' visits for long-term management.

  • Neurological longevity focuses on proactive brain health. By identifying early risk factors for cognitive decline and implementing lifestyle interventions today, we aim to extend your 'brainspan' alongside your lifespan.

  • At our clinic, we do not prescribe any controlled substances for the treatment of headache. Narcotic medications can worsen headache conditions and make our treatments ineffective.
